Michigan State has flipped class of 2026 three-star interior offensive lineman/defensive lineman Jack Ziarko from Miami (OH). Ziarko has signed with the Spartans.

Ziarko, who currently attends Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio, took an official visit to Michigan State this past weekend.

A lot has changed since the weekend, however, as MSU fired previous head coach Jonathan Smith on Sunday, Nov. 30 and announced the hiring of new head coach Pat Fitzgerald on Monday, Dec. 1.

Still, Ziarko has decided to become a Spartan and play under Fitzgerald and any new staff members he may bring to East Lansing. MSU announced that Ziarko officially became a Spartan on Wednesday, Dec. 3, which happens to be the first day of the early signing period. This means Ziarko was able to sign with Michigan State immediately.

Sources tell Spartans Illustrated the 6-foot-4, 285-pound Ziarko has the versatility to play both in the interior of the offensive line or on the other side of the ball along the defensive line at MSU.

He originally committed to the RedHawks on April 4, 2025. The Spartans offered Ziarko a scholarship on Nov. 27, which was his first opportunity from a Power Four program. Ziarko's offer from MSU came just one day after three-star offensive lineman Quinn Buckey decommitted from the program.

In addition to Michigan State and Miami (OH), Ziarko received scholarship offers from Air Force, Toledo, Akron, Kent State and Fordham.

Ziarko ranks as the No. 851 prospect overall, No. 68 interior offensive lineman and No. 40 player in the state of Ohio, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Meanwhile, Rivals/On3 ranks him as the No. 861 overall recruit, No. 80 interior offensive lineman and No. 41 player in the Buckeye State.

Michigan State's 2026 recruiting class now includes 20 total commitments from scholarship players and thee commitments from preferred walk-on players. Ziarko joins three other offensive line commits in four-star offensive tackle Collin Campbell, four-star offensive tackle/guard Eli Bickel and three-star offensive tackle Tristan Comer.

Of note, Ziarko is the second prospect whom the Spartans have flipped from Miami (OH) over the past month. Michigan State also flipped three-star flipped defensive tackle Hudson Aultman from the RedHawks on Nov. 9.

MSU's 2026 recruiting class currently ranks 37th nationally on 247Sports and 39th on Rivals/On3.
