Michigan State has earned a commitment from class of 2026 three-star defensive lineman Hudson Aultman.

The Olentangy Berlin High School (Delaware, Ohio) product was previously committed to Miami (OH). Aultman originally pledged to the Redhawks back in March. However, after a strong senior year, Aultman received a scholarship offer from Michigan State on Oct. 26 and quickly set up a visit.

"It was very difficult (to decommit from Miami), but I believe this is the best opportunity for myself," Aultman told Spartans Illustrated.

Aultman took an official visit to Michigan State on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 during the Spartans' bye week. After spending time in East Lansing, Aultman decided to change his pledge to head coach Jonathan Smith, defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Joe Rossi, defensive line coach Legi Suiaunoa, assistant defensive line coach Antjuan Simmons and the rest of the MSU staff.

"My favorite part (of the visit) was talking with the players and coaches," Aultman said. "My connections with the coaches were already great and got better today!"

He is rated as a three-star prospect on both Rivals/On3 and 247Sports. Aultman ranks as No. 138 defensive lineman and No. 70 prospect in Ohio, according to Rivals. Meanwhile, 247Sports ranks him as the No. 160 defensive lineman and 72 prospect in Ohio in the 2026 cycle.

As a senior in 2026, Aultman recorded 46 tackles, two sacks and 13 tackles for loss in the regular season.

The 6-foot-4, 295-pound Aultman was recently named as the OCC-Cardinal Defensive Player of the Year.

Aultman is expected to play in the interior of the trenches as a defensive tackle for the Spartans.

"I will be an interior defensive lineman, and I believe I'm a disrupter to the point of attack," he said.

In addition to Michigan State and Miami (OH), Aultman received scholarship offers from South Florida, Buffalo, Kent State, Toledo and Western Michigan.

Michigan State also hosted three-star junior college EDGE Darius Wiley out of Hutchinson Community College on an official visit over the weekend.

With Aultman's pledge, Michigan State's 2026 recruiting class grows to 21 scholarship prospects and 24 total commitments (three preferred walk-ons).

Aultman joins fellow three-star Christopher Knauls as defensive tackles in the Spartans' 2026 class. Additionally on the defensive line and edges, MSU currently has commitments from three-star defensive end Fameitau Siale, three-star rush end Chris Addison and three-star rush end Cory House.
