Utah State transfer PG Elijah Perryman commits to Cincinnati
Jerrod Calhoun lands another Utah State player
Today, the Cincinnati Bearcats landed Utah State transfer point guard Elijah Perryman. Perryman is a 6'2", 190 pound native of San Francisco, California. He is the second commit of the day as North Dakota State combo guard Trevian Carson committed earlier. The guard joins former Utah State teammates David Iweze and Adlan Emanin in Clifton.
Last season, averaged 4.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists on 43.9% from the field, 80.0% from the line in 13.9 minutes.
Perryman will have three years of eligibility remaining.
The point guard will be moving up in completion, but he has one year banked in Jerrod Calhoun's system. Adding Perryman, makes up for the loss of Keyshuan Tillery.
Per GoBearcats:
Coach Calhoun's statement on Perryman:
“Elijah has incredible feel for a point guard,” Calhoun said. “He’s a young man who has great promise and, obviously, there’s significant familiarity for him with our system and for our staff with his game. Elijah can really grow here. He sees the floor well and players love playing with him. Elijah can get downhill, play out of pick and rolls and is a wonderful kid.”
