Tulsa transfer PG Tylen Riley picks Cincinnati over Oklahoma
Calhoun lands one of the top guards in the portal
At 5 pm eastern time Tulsa transfer point guard Tyler Riley announced to the world that he chose Cincinnati over Oklahoma. It is a huge grab for new head coach Jerrod Calhoun and almost wraps up the new roster. Adding a guy that is a three level scorer will do wonders for the Bearcats this winter.
Last season, he averaged 15.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists on 44.8% from the field, 38.9% from 3 and 87.1% from the line.
The 2nd Team All-AAC performer will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Per GoBearcats:
Coach Calhoun's statement on Riley:
“Tylen is the ultimate competitor and just an unbelievable story from the time he enrolled in college a few years back to where he is now,” Calhoun said. “He has shown significant growth and can do a lot of things on both sides of the ball. Tylen will light up a room and is a consummate winner.”
