Cincinnati added their fifth member of the transfer portal earlier this morning following the news of South Dakota Wide receiver Larenzo Fenner signing with Cincinnati.

The former South Dakota star lit up the gridiron in 2025 where he hauled in 44 receptions for a career high 1,001 yards and 15 touchdowns. Fenner averaged 22.8 yards per catch and has showcased his ability to be a big time play maker at the FCS level which led him to Cincinnati. The 6'0", 195-pound wide receiver garnered All-MVFC honors as a sophomore and is expected to have two years of eligibility remaining for Cincinnati.

Fenner, was also receiving interest from Baylor, Syracuse, Missouri before committing to Cincinnati. Fenner's ties to Cincinnati stem from his playing days at South Dakota where he spent some time with current Cincinnati offensive tackle Joe Cotton, who played a crucial role in guiding Fenner to Cincinnati.

The addition of Fenner, is huge for Cincinnati after undergone a complete roster rebuild at the wide receiver position following the departures of Cyrus Allen (NFL), Jeff Caldwell (NFL), Noah Jennings (portal), Barry Jackson (portal), Caleb Goodie (Missouri). The only returner who played in 2025 as of right now is Isaiah Johnson, who only caught 14 passes for 222 yards and three scores in 2025.

Now, Fenner could come in right away and fill the void of Cyrus Allen, who is off to the NFL, but is coming off a historic season where he tied the program's single season touchdown record with 13.

However, the first domino has fallen there in the wide receiver room as Cincinnati looks to the portal to reshape that position group for now the third straight season.
