Reports are that Bearcats defensive coordinator Tyson Veidt won't be back in 2026

Per Chad Brendel of Bearcat Journal, Cincinnati Bearcats defensive coordinator Tyson Veidt will not be with the program in 2026. Veidt is rumored to become Penn State's new linebackers coach, rejoining Matt Campbell. During his two year run as the defensive coordinator, the 3-3-5 scheme didn't impress many, bending, but not breaking most of the time.
He spent his previous seven seasons at Iowa State with Campbell, he was the assistant head coach and linebackers coach.
The question is who will be the new defensive coordinator for the Bearcats? And what scheme will they bring with them? Will the new scheme have different sets?
