OT Ethan Green expected to enter Transfer Portal

Bearcats OT Ethan Green expected to enter transfer portal.

Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats wrapped up the 2025 regular season on Saturday following their loss to TCU.

Earlier this evening it was reported by On3's Pete Nakos, that Redshirt Junior offensive tackle Ethan Green was expected to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

We spoke with Cincinnati head coach Scott Satterfield earlier this afternoon where he mentioned that the team has begun those initial conversations about players potentially transferring ahead of the Bowl game due to the new NCAA Transfer window being shortened. Satterfield mentioned that those conversations were on going and would linger over the next week or so as the team patiently awaits their bowl destination, which should come this Sunday following the conference championship games.

However, If Green does indeed enter the transfer portal, it is viewed in my opinion, a big loss for Cincinnati.

The 6'6" 315-pound veteran offensive tackle appeared in all twelve games this season, while starting one game early in the season in place of Deondre Buford at right tackle. Now, for Cincinnati, Green was a guy who could have arguably been a starter next season at tackle with Deondre Buford moving on after exhausting his eligibility and been a key player up front with multiple years in the Bearcats system.

However, it's still to be determined if Green intends to play in the Bearcats bowl game, but with the new one-time transfer window it would be very interesting to see if he suits up for the Bearcats in the bowl game.
