North Carolina Central EDGE Thomas Johnson transfers to Cincinnati

Cincinnati Bearcats made a big splash in the portal getting a commitment from defensive end/outside linebacker Thomas Johnson from North Carolina Central. Thomas had 49 tackles, 12 sacks and 18 tackles for loss in 2025. He was First Team All-MEAC and an FCS All-American.
The 6'3", 255 pound Lawndale, California native will be a key piece for the Bearcats to generate a consistent pass rush. He has one year of eligibility remaining. If he an can come close to putting those type of numbers in Clifton he will have a chance to be on an All-Big 12 team.
