Today, the Cincinnati Bearcats received a commitment from Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns running back Zylan Perry. Perry is the third running back to commit to Cincinnati since the portal has opened joining Gi'Bran Payne and Cole Tabb. Manny Covey just entered the transfer portal today and Perry is a person who can replace in the running game and return game.
In 2025, Perry had 138 carries for 689 yards and eight touchdowns on an average of 5.0 yards a carry. He had 16 catches for 106 yards.
He wasn't a returner last season, but 2023 and 2024 he totaled 1,285 yards on 51 returns and a touchdown.
The 5'11", 207 pound Franklin, Louisiana native has one year of eligibility remaining.
