Bad second half leads to Bearcats 84-65 demise

The Cincinnati Bearcats, traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to face the Georgia Bulldogs in the Atlanta Hawks arena. It was posted by Ryan Roberts that Jizzle James was on the sideline for the Bearcats, but after the first half that was the only good news.

The Bearcats started off scrappy, getting an 11 point lead in the first half, 33-22, but by the half it was tied up at 37. Georgia was kept in the game by guard Blue Cain and the Bearcats sloppiness reared its ugly head.

In the second half after the Bearcats got a lead, Georgia didn't look back as they ended up winning by 19. Baba Miller had a strong first half, but only had 11 points and seven rebounds to finish. Kerr Kriisa had six points on 2-of-7 from the field with three assists and three turnovers. Day Day Thomas fouled out with 5:11 left in the second half.

The Bearcats lost the battle on the glass 41-37, Georgia only shot 19% from 3, but shot 50% from the field, that means none 3 point attempts for Georgia was as good as gold. The Bearcats shot 35% from the field, 27% from 3 and 57% from the line. None of these stats were what they needed to grab a win at a neutral site location.

Jalen Celestine had his second double digit scoring output in a row with 13, to lead to the team.

Now 6-4, the Bearcats will face Alabama State on Wednesday at 7 pm at Fifth Third Arena.
