Four losses in a row, the Bearcats get handled by TCU, 45-23
Bearcats end of the season skid continues with 45-23 loss to TCU
The Cincinnati Bearcats and TCU Horned Frogs both came into the game 7-4 overall, who would be able to finish the season 8-4?
Would the Bearcats be able to stop their three game losing streak?
The Good:
Brendan Sorsby went 23-of-33 for 282 yards and three touchdowns, he also had 10 carries for 59 yards on the ground. Sorsby had tied Desmond Ridder for most total touchdowns in a season with 36. (if he plays in the bowl game he will have a chance to own the record outright)
Joe Royer got a few catches (three) for 45 yards.
Also, Cyrus Allen scored another touchdown to push his total to 12 on the year and still had the lead in the Big 12.
Jeff Caldwell and Caleb Goodie both had good games as well.
The Bad:
The defense gave up 45 points and 544 total yards.
The weather delay, made this game end around 8:30 ish as well on top of TCU doing what they wanted to Cincinnati on offense.
TCU went 6-of-14 on 3rd down and 3-of-3 on 4th down.
Josh Hoover went 19-of-22 for 302 yards and four touchdowns.
Eric McAllister went eight catches for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Jeremy Payne thought he was LJ Martin as we had 26 carries for 174 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bearcats went 3-of-9 on third down, another bad showing on third down.
Aftermath:
The Bearcats end the season on a four game losing streak with the 45-23 loss to TCU. They finish the season 7-5 overall and 5-4 in the Big 12 which is 10th in the conference, a hell of a drop from the beginning of the month.
Now we wait to see what bowl they will get and after that we will see who will play in the bowl.
