Evan Pryor enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Cincinnati running back Evan Pryor enters NCAA Transfer Portal, will not play in the Liberty Bowl.
Cincinnati running back Evan Pryor announced on social media moments ago, that he will be entering the NCAA transfer portal and will not be traveling with the team to Memphis for the upcoming Liberty Bowl.
Pryor came to Cincinnati ahead of the 2024 season after starting his career at Ohio State and has since then spent the last two seasons at the University of Cincinnati. In his two seasons at Clifton, Pryor racked up a total of 1,228 all-purpose yards and 11 touchdowns in that time span.
Now, in 2025 Pryor didn't have the year he had quite expected racking up just 76 carries for 529 yards and three touchdowns. Now, in the limited role for Pryor, he flashed his ability to hit the homerun play on numerous occasions as the veteran running back averaged nearly seven yards per carry this season. Although, the numbers flashed, he saw his role quickly dwindle behind Tawee Walker and Brendan Sorsby, who finished the season as the team's top two rushers.
Worth noting that Pryor also missed majority of the month of November while dealing with an ankle injury that lingered towards the end of the season. Pryor has been around on campus since the conclusion of the 2025 season and spotted at the facility as the team prepares for the Liberty Bowl but was off to the side doing some individual work while looking to get back to 100%.
Now for Cincinnati, they will more than likely explore the options in the transfer portal at the running back positions with Manny Covey and Zion Johnson being the only running backs on the roster that have game experience heading into the Liberty Bowl.
