Does LB Jack Dingle have a chance to make the Cincinnati Bengals?
UC Bearcat star linebacker is staying in Cincinnati
Dingle was a prodigy from Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, who spent five years as one of the
Bearcats key contributors on the defense, alongside Jake Golday and Dontay “The Godfather”
Corleone. In that time, he had cumulative 171 tackles (71 solo) and three sacks. Dingle was praised
for balanced blend of size at 6’4", speed and strength, awareness of angle blocks, active hands to
get off blocks and has high potential as a special teamer.
The Bengals picked him up after Day 3 of the NFL Draft. Dingle will have compete beside USC
Eric Gentry to earn a roster spot at linebacker. Cincy made a bold decision not to draft a linebacker, a
position that has question marks after two previous rookies Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter
underperformed as starters in their 1st season. There’s a chance for Dingle to work his way up to
early playing time as in year 1, or at minimum have a place on their practice squad. Rookie
minicamps starts on May 8th, expect him to make a good first impression.
