Cincinnati Injury Roundup Vs Oklahoma State

The Bearcats will be missing three players on Saturday vs Oklahoma State

The Bearcats welcome Oklahoma State to Fifth Third Arena later this afternoon where the Bearcats look to keep their NCAA chances alive.

Now, they will have to do so without three players, as Jalen Hayes, Tyler McKinley and Jordi Rodriquez have all been ruled out ahead of Saturday's contest.

Sources have told TFON that Tyler McKinley is still dealing with the knee injury that has lingered all season. Which means more minutes for Halvine Dzellat if Baba Miller and Moustapha Thiam happen to get into foul trouble. Meanwhile, Oklahoma State will be without big man Parsa Fallah for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL earlier this week. Parsa was averaging nearly 15 points and six rebounds for the Cowboys and quickly became a big force for Steven Lutz Cowboy squad.

Now the positive injury news, Freshman guard Shon Abaev is off the injury report and set to make his long-awaited return after missing the last month with a high ankle sprain.

Abaev has not played since January 24th vs Arizona State but from the early indications it sounds like he may not have a minute restriction this afternoon. Now, that will be interesting to keep an eye on with how well Jalen Celestine has been playing over the recent weeks.

Tip-Off is slated for 2pm this afternoon from Fifth Third Arena.
