Cincinnati freshman QB Zeb Kinsey to enter transfer portal
Cincinnati loses a key member of their 2025 recruiting class as QB Zeb Kinsey announces he will enter the NCAA Transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd.
Cincinnati freshman quarterback Zeb Kinsey announced on social media this morning that he will be entering the transfer portal when it opens up on January 2nd.
Kinsey was a three-star quarterback coming out of high school and was one of the top-rated players amongst the Bearcats 2025 recruiting class. Coming out of high school, Kinsey was being recruited to play on both sides of the ball, both at quarterback, and linebacker. However, he elected to join the Bearcats after announcing his commitment back in November of 2023, before signing with the Bearcats a year later despite holding offers from Big 12 foes, Oklahoma State and West Virginia.
Kinsey, didn't make an appearance for the Bearcats this past season after spending time behind Brendan Sorsby, Brady Lichtenberg and Samaj Jones at the quarterback position. However, the 6'3" 225-pound quarterback will now be entering the transfer portal with four years of eligibility after pursing the redshirt this season, with hopes of finding a new opportunity elsewhere.
TFON wishes the best of luck to Kinsey on the rest of his playing journey.
