In 2030 UC and Michigan State will start home and home

The Cincinnati football team has added a home-and-home series with Michigan State to its 2030 and 2031 schedules, the schools announced Thursday. The series includes a Sept. 14, 2030 game against the Spartans at Historic Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati before a return trip to East Lansing Sept. 13, 2031.
The Bearcats are 1-1 all-time against the Spartans. Cincinnati first played Michigan State in 1930, a 32-0 Spartan victory in East Lansing, before evening the series with an 18-7 road win in 1946. Cincinnati last played a Big Ten school in its 2025 opener against Nebraska in the Battle Sports Kansas City Classic at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium Aug. 28.
