Boston College transfer big man Jayden Hastings is now in Clifton
Per GoBearcats:
The Cincinnati men’s basketball team has added forward Jayden Hastings to its 2026-27 roster, first-year head coach Jerrod Calhoun announced Tuesday. Hastings will have two years of eligibility remaining after playing 62 games over the last two seasons at Boston College.
“Jayden is really going to help us defensively,” Calhoun said. “He ranked 57th nationally in block percentage and played for a really good coach in Earl Grant. Jayden’s a wonderful kid and a great lob threat who is a guy I think we can really help offensively. He’ll have the ability to come in here from day one and bring that physical presence that you need in the Big 12.”
As a sophomore at Boston College last season, Hastings played in 31 games, including 29 starts, averaging 6.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. He shot 61.1% from the field, notching eight double-figure scoring games and three contests with double-figure rebounds. Hastings blocked at least three shots on seven occasions, including a career-high six blocks at Clemson in January.
In two seasons at Boston College, Hastings appeared in 62 games, making 34 starts, averaging 5.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots per game.
