Bearcats S Tayden Barnes to enter transfer portal
Tayden Barnes is the second Bearcats safety to declare for the transfer portal in the past two days

Today, Cincinnati Bearcats redshirt sophomore safety Tayden Barnes announced he will enter the transfer portal. The 5'8", 185 pound safety from Amarillo, Texas has been a steady part of the Bearcats safety rotation the past two seasons. In 2025 he had 25 tackles and one forced fumble in 12 games.
Barnes is the second safety to enter the portal as Christian Harrison entered yesterday. It will be a lot of snaps that have to be replaced by the Bearcats with Harrison and Barnes out of the fold. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
