Bearcats offensive line named Big 12 Offensive Line of the Week
Tengesdahl, Cotton, Tyo, Milon and Lozowicki get honored by the Big 12

Cincinnati’s offensive line has been selected as the Big 12 Offensive Line of the Week, as announced by the Big 12 Conference on Monday afternoon.
Led by preseason All-American left guard Evan Tengesdahl, center Taran Tyo, and left tackle Joe Cotton, Cincinnati’s offensive line backed up the offseason narrative by delivering a dominant Week 1 performance against Boston College in the Bearcats 34-15 win. The unit paved the way for 254 rushing yards on 46 attempts (5.5 yards per carry) while surrendering just one sack.
Running back Gi'Bran Payne rushed for over 100 yards in his Bearcats debut while quarterback JC French pounded in three short yardage scores on the way to converting a perfect 4-for-4 in the red zone (all touchdowns). French and all four running backs in the rotation had at least 20 rushing yards. It was the first time Cincinnati has had five players with 20+ rushing yards in the same game since the season opener of 2024 vs. Towson.
Right Tackle Judea Milon and right guard Xavier Lozowicki made their first career starts rounding out the Bearcats offensive line.
According to the team’s official pancake counter, the offensive line tallied 47 knockdown blocks in Week 1.
Last season, Cincinnati’s offensive line won the conference Offensive Line of the Week three times.
