Bearcats make St. John's (DC) ATH Tyric Powell's Top 6
St. John's ATH Tyric Powell releases Top 6 and commitment date
Today, St. John's College High School athlete Tyric Powell released his Top 6 schools and a commitment date. The Top 6 were: Charlotte, Buffalo, Marshall, Syracuse, Maryland and Cincinnati. The 6 foot, 205 pound member of the 2027 class has a commitment date set for June 25th.
Powell isn't ranked on On3 or 247, but from the offers he's received things will change for the young man. Last season, he had 1.165 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. With those stats a lot of programs will be taking a look at him at running back for sure.
It will be interesting to see if Powell stays on the east coast (Washington, D.C. native) or if Cincinnati and their midwest ways can slide in. I would be shocked if the young man is a visitor early June ahead of his decision.
