The Cincinnati Bearcats traveled to Manhattan, Kansas to face the Kansas State Wildcats. The Bearcats came into the game 12-12 and 4-7 in the Big 12, while Kansas State came in 10-13 and 1-9 in the Big 12. Moustapha Thiam missed the game after playing against UCF and Kerr Kriisa was out as well. Tyler McKinley got his third start in place of Thiam. After shooting the laces off the ball against UCF at home would the hot streak carry on the road?

The first half was a Bearcat onslaught they shot 57.1% from the field and 64.3% from 3 on 9-of-14. They were led by Jalen Celestine with 16 points on 6-of-8 from the field and four 3’s. Followed by Baba Miller with 11 points, five rebounds and three assists. Jizzle James also had 10 points.

Kansas State shot 36.7% from the field and 27.3% from three, the Bearcats won the battle of the glass 18 to 14.

Buck Harris had a great spark off the bench with eight points. The play of the first half was a steal by Day Day Thomas that he one hand slammed on the break.

The first half was the best the Bearcats have looked all season on offense, even better than their UCF performance.

In the second half the Bearcats did more of the same, James had a personal 5-0 run with a three and a steal/dunk the team went on a 10-0 run doing that spurt.

James had 14 of his team high 24 in the second half. The team had four others in double digits. Miller with 16 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and four blocks. Celestine had 18 points, five rebounds and three steals. Thomas finished with 10 points, seven assists, three rebounds and two steals. Harris finished with 12 points, three rebounds and two assists.

Shooting 57.1% from 3 and 81.3% from the line is always a win for the Bearcats.

After the 91-62 win, the Bearcats are 13-12 and 5-7 in the Big 12 with Utah coming to Fifth Third Arena on Sunday at noon.
