Baba Miller shining at the NBA Combine
UC Star graduate basketball player catching the attention of NBA Scouts
Baba Miller is a four year Forward who moved around for a bit during his college career: two years
with Florida State, his junior year with FAU (his breakout year), then finally played his final
season with Cincinnati, where he put up his best numbers, averaging 13 points, over 10
rebounds, and over 1 block per game. He’s praised for his size and athleticism, with huge upside
as a defender who can guard multiple positions. Miller is an impactful on-ball and help defender
who can disrupt pass lanes and transition breakaways. He’s considered an inconsistent shooter,
typically from the outside, but that doesn’t stop him from spreading the floor with his passing.
At the combine, all of that was displayed. 9’3" standing reach, 6’10" height w/o shoes, 7’1"
wingspan, 2.70 shuttle Run (1st among forwards) and 10.71 (3rd among forwards). Those are
only based on strength and agility drills. At the time of writing, the shooting drill numbers aren’t
charted yet, but it’s something to keep an eye on for Baba if he’s to flourish at a pro level.
During the scrimmages, he was the top performer for Team Adams, 20 points (6-of-10 from the
field), six rebounds and two steals on the day.
Baba is projected to go in the early 2nd round, but depending on how he performs over the rest
of the combine, his stock could rise to great heights.
