Earlier this afternoon, Cincinnati officially landed their first member of the 2028 recruiting cycle after Xenia High School tight end Jaxon Austin announced his pledge to Cincinnati.

The 6'4" 210-pound tight end has shown his ability early on both in the pass game as well as the run blocking game as well. Now, for anyone who has watched Cincinnati over the last three seasons under head coach Scott Satterfield, they would see they really like to use their tight ends in both the run and passing game. Which, for Austin, he has showcased his ability to be a dynamic weapon in both of those categories as the Xenia Native looks to lead the 2028 recruiting class moving forward.

Austin visited Cincinnati in the recent days after the live period opened up on Monday for the 2028 members where he announced his pledge to Cincinanti with Tight ends coach Josh Stepp, who was the lead recruiter for the local Xenia High School product.
