That’s the dream: Michigan State buzzsaws NDSU in stress-free March opener

A 92–67 dismantling gives MSU fans a rare exhale – before Louisville brings the nerves right back

I’m sitting there watching this game, and I keep coming back to the same thought the entire time – this is what you dream about in March.

A game with no stress.

Michigan State, 92–67, and I don’t even know if “win” does it justice. Throttling, bulldozing, buzz sawing – whatever word you want to use, it all fits. If you’re someone who gets nervous about these first-round games, if you’re one of the chicken littles out there waiting for something to go wrong, this is what they served up instead.

A dream.

Because this time of year, it’s all downside. You win, you did your job. Great. You lose, you’re thinking about it for the next few years. That’s just how this works. So when you get one like this, where you can actually sit back and enjoy it, where you’re not gripping the couch in the second half, you take it.

And from the jump, Michigan State just shut off every possible path to an upset.
