Michigan State Hockey finally has a (probable) favorable path to the Frozen Four
A No. 1 seed in Worcester, MSU opens with UConn on Thursday

Sunday afternoon, the prediction I made for the Michigan State Spartans’ draw in the NCAA Men’s Hockey Tournament became official.
The NCAA field and seeding are set by the NCAA Percentage Index (NPI), a formula that replaced both the previous RPI and Pairwise systems this season in order to compare teams objectively and determine the tournament field.
That means there is far less intrigue surrounding the NCAA hockey selection show, though the committee still has some responsibilities in shaping the bracket.
