Michigan State hires Morgan Bequeaith as assistant quarterbacks coach
Bequeaith will work with quarterbacks coach John McNulty at MSU.
Michigan State has hired Morgan Bequeaith as an analyst and assistant quarterbacks coach, sources tell Spartans Illustrated.
Bequeaith has also updated his bio on X (formerly Twitter) to reflect his new role as well.
In 2026, he will learn under MSU head coach Pat Fitzgerald, offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan, quarterbacks coach John McNulty and the rest of the staff.
McNulty was hired by Fitzgerald on Feb. 4, shortly after the departure of previous quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian. Bajakian was officially hired by the Spartans on Jan. 2, but he left for a job in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns in early February.
Bequeaith will assist McNulty with coaching a group of quarterbacks that includes returning starter Alessio Milivojevic, Central Florida transfer Cam Fancher, second-year signal-caller Leo Hannan, four-star true freshman Kayd Coffman and preferred walk-on true freshman Peyton Babbitt.
He most recently served as a graduate assistant at Youngstown State under head coach Doug Phillips in 2025. Bequeaith worked on the offensive side of the ball for the Penguins this past season.
Just prior to arriving at Youngstown State, Bequeaith briefly took a job in January 2025 as wide receivers coach and community outreach director at Missouri Valley College.
He spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Northern Iowa. Bequeaith’s first year with the Panthers was as an offensive assistant. During his second year at UNI, he worked as assistant cornerbacks coach and as a defensive analyst.
Bequeaith received a degree in physical education from Northern Iowa in December of 2024.
