Ascending 2027 in-state OL Grant Adloff commits to Michigan State
MSU gets its second class of 2027 commit under Pat Fitzgerald. More details on Adloff.
Michigan State continues to build its 2027 recruiting class, as the Spartans earned a commitment from rising in-state offensive lineman Grant Adloff. He announced his pledge MSU on Saturday.
At the college level, Adloff will play under head coach Pat Fitzgerald, offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan, offensive line coach Nick Tabacca, assistant offensive line coach Jacob Lail and the rest of the MSU staff.
Adloff, out of East Grand Rapids High School in Michigan, was offered by the Spartans on Jan. 23 during his junior day visit to East Lansing. Fitzgerald also traveled to visit with Adloff on Friday, leading to his pledge to Michigan State.
The 6-foot-4, 272-pound Adloff is expected to play in the interior of the offensive line at the college level.
As a junior in 2025, Adloff helped lead the Pioneers to a 9-3 record and a district championship. He earned first-team All-State honors (Division 3), first-team All-Region accolades and first-team All-Conference (OK Black) recognition this past season.
East Grand Rapids head coach Josh Shattuck notes that Adloff is a multi-sport athlete who thrives on technique and athleticism on the football field. Adloff is a team leader for the Pioneers, and he also excels in the classroom.
"Grant is a great player and a great kid," Shattuck said. "He was a junior as a captain, which was voted in by the players. He is a high academic kid and a three-sport athlete with football, basketball and lacrosse. He is really humble and is an awesome teammate.
"As a player, he is an exceptional athlete who moves and bends significantly well for someone his size. He will be a four-year varsity player for us by the time he is done and is a huge part of our team in all three phases."
In addition to Michigan State, Adloff has received scholarship offers from West Virginia, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Toledo, Bowling Green, Cornell, Dartmouth and Youngstown State thus far.
He is not yet ranked by 247Sports or On3/Rivals, but that will likely change in the near future.
Adloff joins Ohio three-star running back Savior Owens as the first two commitments of MSU's 2027 recruiting class.
