    We have to start here. It’s not The Pick in 1994, but it’s every bit Verdell’s game winner in 2018, and right up there with the best plays in the rivalry. I’ve been to a lot of big road games over the years and cannot think of many plays that swung a crowd like this one did. In the span of 65 yards, that crowd went from jazzed up with real hope to absolute dejection and silence. Huge credit to Dante for his pocket movement, and Benson for an elite route, hands catch and burners to outrun four UW defenders. That’s going to be a play that is replayed for many years in this rivalry, made even better by the UW smash over the knee right in front of the student section.
