COMMIT - Xavier Sabb Commits to Oregon!
With Xavier Sabb committing to the Ducks, the wide receiver depth continues to Oregon for the Ducks!
For many years, landing a five-star wide receiver felt like a dream for Oregon fans. Now, the Ducks are positioned to bring in multiple five-star pass catchers in back-to-back seasons at the position. Xavier Sabb joined Dakota Guerrant in Oregon’s 2027 recruiting class on Friday with a commitment to the Ducks.
Sabb took four official visits, culminating with his final trip to Eugene on June 19. Shortly after, it became decision time—and it didn’t appear to be much of a debate, as industry experts had long predicted and crystal-balled Sabb to Oregon.
Sabb is a consensus top-50 overall player in the country and ranks among the top five wide receivers in the class nationally. The Rivals Industry Rankings list him as a five-star prospect, while the 247Sports Composite grades him as a four-star. The Glassboro, New Jersey native is also the second-ranked player in his state and brings a dynamic skill set that can be deployed in multiple ways.
Backed by impressive track and field production—including a 10.69-second 100-meter dash as a sophomore and a 6-foot-2 high jump—Sabb’s athleticism translates naturally to the football field. At 6-foot, 195 pounds, he projects as a versatile weapon, likely fitting best in the slot given Oregon’s outside receiver depth.
His film shows a complete skill set: long speed on vertical routes, quickness and vision on short catch-and-run concepts, and explosive ability in the return game. There are a variety of ways Sabb could find his way onto the field at Autzen Stadium early in his career.
